Goal 1: Our original goal was to contact a person from HSHM and meet with them in person by March 31st. However, we realized that the people are incredibly busy, and the in person meeting would only be necessary if we were planning to collaborate with the organization on service event. Since our team planned a clothing drive, we decided to simply email a representative from HSHM and introduce ourselves. We decided to meet with them in person briefly for a meet and greet when we went to drop off donations.

 

Goal 2: Our second goal was originally to raise 400$ worth of clothing by April 15th. We planned to compensate the other 200$ by raising funds through GoFundMe. We did not anticipate that our clothing drive would be as successful as it was, but we had collected well over 400$ worth of clothing before April 15 so we decided to shift our focus entirely to the clothing drive. We decided to keep promoting our fundraiser and collect more clothing for the remainder of the semester.

 

Goal 3: Our third goal was originally to raise 200$+ through a Go Fund Me page. However, we received so many clothing donations and were able to reach out to a variety of organizations that provided us with a ton of donations. We realized that we did not want to go back to the organizations that had already donated and ask for money as well, so we changed our third goal to raising over 1000$ worth of clothing which we felt confident that we could do!

 

Overall, we did not anticipate that our clothing drive would be as successful as it was. We acquired an overwhelming amount of clothing donations from various organizations, and exceeded our original goal by a landside. Therefore, we thought it was best to focus on the clothing drive.
